Note that this functionality may not be available in all versions of Aqualus Water, but is configurable on request.
‘User Triggered Automatic Signup’ or ‘Generate Customer Portal Registrations’ allows the known customer details received into Aqualus Water via companion data to drive automatic registrations within the Aqualus Customer Portal.
The process is User Triggered by Staff in Aqualus Water whereby as an authorized user, you can initiate a process to report on and identify new customer records that have not yet signed up to the Customer portal.
The user triggered process allows you to define the types of inclusions and tag customer records and have the system generate their registration and issue an email invitation to automatically log in to the customer portal.
In the same way, this process is also used to add registrations to existing customers to the customer portal.
As an authorized staff user, you are able to filter potential customer users based on them having a valid mobile number, which facilitates the mobile confirmation SMS process. In this case, the customer is also sent an SMS with a PIN to confirm their signup or additional registrations.
Review Recipients
Based on the parameters (inclusions ) specified in the previous section, Aqualus Water will present the results to the staff user allowing you to review and potentially exclude certain accounts and / or actions.

When you are satisfied with the selection, press the save button and you will see a confirmation pop up showing how many customers will be created, how many new accounts or properties will be registered, how many emails and how many SMSes will be sent.
Processing Registrations and Issue Invitations
In response to saving the previous (confirmation) step, the system will process all registrations as selected. The following rules apply:
Where multiple properties or accounts will be associated to the one new or existing user account, only one email is sent
A different email template is used based on the situation - see below for detail.
One template is create for each of the following
A brand new user account created requiring the user to confirm and set a password, via a link within the email.
A suitable welcome message and greeting
The customers full name as known
Email address
Link to confirm their signup and set their password
A list of the properties or accounts that have been added to their account
Standard privacy footer
A new account or property added to an existing confirmed user account
