The Advice or work order form will display a Section labelled 'Old Unit' if the Meter or AMR change fields are set to:

  • Replace
  • Reinstall
  • Remove

The “Old Unit” Section will appear for any change types that impact upon the current meter or AMR. The details of the current unit, including the meter number, AMR and location may be pre-set from the batch. Note however, that the meter number remains changeable, but only in situations where more than one meter may exist at the selected property.

For some advice types, you are required to specify the final reading. The history button  will reveal the same “historical reading context” that exists in the system already. The time removed remains the same, remaining blank until the you select the time button with which you can either specify a time, or stick with the default (current) time.

A new function has been added to this form that will allow the user to initiate an NFC scan on the existing meter. This function will only be visible for water meters that have been separately flagged as being NFC scan-capable (V200HTs).

When the scan has been successful, it will result in the meter number being updated and all relevant fields like address being looked up. This is particularly important for a once-off advice as the first thing you (the operator) may do is scan the existing meter.

An NFC scan of the meter will also load the “Final Reading” for the water meter from the scan details, and for some advice types may also pre-populate the same fields for the “New Unit” such as for a reinstall.
