Reporting
The Reporting option on the main menu facilitates report access. A number of reporting options are provided including reports for AMR analysis, general reports and consumption reports.
MiWater Reporting Cheat-sheet (Overview of all MiWater Private Reports)
MiWater Private
MiWater Private – Home Dashboard Reports
Alerts and Warnings:
- Highest Water Users (Last 48 Hours): Not necessarily a leak.
- Possible Leaks (Last 2 Days): If no zero reading has been recorded over a 2-day period.
- Late Pulse Reports: Anything over 16 hours prior to previous pulse. (hard coded value)
Network Summaries:
This is a broad consumption report. (Consider the entire network)
MiWater Private – Property Dashboard Reports
Consumption Metrics:
- 7-Day Average Consumption: Consumption averaged over 7 days
- 2-Day Leak Detection:
- Max Leak Rate Per Hour: This is the minimum reading over a 2-day period.
- Leak Factor: An estimate number of how bad the actual leak is, removing general usage.
- Data Confidence: The actual num of pulses per day / Expected pulses per day. The expected pulses are set against the meter model.
- Peak Consumption (Over one Month): Highest usage recorded over the last 30 days.
- Total Water Consumption: Total over last week and this week.
MiWater Private – Readings Exception Management:
Found at: AMR Management --> Readings Exception Management
Processing Readings Exceptions:
When the last meter reading differs from any AMR pulse in the last 12 hours either side. The reading may also be flagged if the reading is greater than 4000 litres from any pulse in that time period.
MiWater Private – AMR and Quarantine Management:
Found at: AMR Management → AMR Quarantine Processing
AMR Quarantine process and management:
When an AMR reading reports a usage that is above the threshold recorded against that meter’s model type.
Possible Reasons for Quarantine:
- The meter has been hit by something and is over reporting.
- The meter model Threshold 2 could be set incorrectly (Check the L/M Threshold value in the meter model)
- The meter’s model type could be assigned incorrectly; the threshold could be too small for the meter.
MiWater Private – Other Reports:
All reports below can be found at the main menu heading “Reporting”
Home Dashboard → Reporting
Leak Detection Report:
Provides an overview of all leaks in the network. Unless specified differently in the report, leaks are detected through looking back over a 2-day period for cases where properties have reported no break in water usage. (This default 2 days can be changed in the system constants)
Sending a Leak Notification:
MiWater Private leak notifications operate separately to MiWater Public leak alerts. In the public site, users select when and how they want to have a notification sent to them. Through MiWater private however, leaks are generated and sent manually, and will only generate for customers not set up in MiWater Public.
Leak Notification Process:
To begin the leak alert generation process, go to:
Home Dashboard à Reporting à Leak Detection Report à [Run the report with the desired parameters] à [Scroll to the bottom of the report] à Send Alerts (This will not send the alerts straight away, but allow you to select additional options)
Leak Quantum:
- This report provides an overview of leak history for a specific meter.
- Used to determine when an owner should be charged for a leak.
Data continuity:
Provides an overview of data quality across the network. This report looks at how often AMR’s are sending messages to the radio towers.
Property Heat Map Report:
Provides a map view of various reports including:
- Data continuity
- Leak Detection
- Zero Pulse
- Maximum Flow Rate
- Receiver Station (This needs to be setup in the system lists before it can be used, see user manual for more information)
Heatmap - Zero consumption report:
Provides information regarding AMRs providing pulses with zero consumption.
- This is different to zero pulses, as the AMRs are sending data (data quality is good), the data is just always 0.
- If a property has had a zero-consumption report against it, it will not show in the report.
- By default, to appear on this report, there must be zero consumption for 28 days.
Heatmap – Maximum Flow Rate:
- Helps identify the highest water users within the given period.
- By default, this is a month
Heatmap - Receiver Station:
- Useful for tracking signal range available via Taggle radio towers.
- This can help determine why AMR’s are not sending pulse correct pulse data.
Comprehensive Meter Report:
- This is the go-to report for detailing the current state of active Meters and AMRs.
- This report can also be used for Batch management through selecting Data export for Action or Inspection.
Communications Report:
- This report allows you to look at a summary of all notifications set to owners.
- This report also includes MiWater Public communications.
Consumption Reports:
Private Metered Network Consumption Report:
- Provides consumption information regarding metres within Private Metered Networks.
- Meters within PMN’s are not normally tracked, only the master meter.
- This report assists with tracking meters within the network.
Increased Consumption Report:
- Compares the consumption between two periods.
- This can be helpful in working out the difference in average consumption between two periods.
- Can be helpful in identifying leak issues and a general increase in water usage.
Consumption Report:
- Provides the total consumption for the given period.
- Lists for each associated meter
Water Usage Specific Date Report:
- Provides a snapshot of water usage against a given date and time.
- If no data is available for the datetime, the most recent data is used.
Alert 1 – AMR Maintenance:
- This report Provides Maintenance activity conducted on all meters over the period.
Alert 2 – Leak Reporting:
- Provides a summary of all leak data over the period.
- Helpful for reporting on monthly leak management.
Alert 3 – Customer Engagement:
- Provides an overview of all customer communication over the period.
- This can be useful for identifying areas of high customer attention.
Detailed Consumption Report:
- Provides an overview of detailed meter consumption information.
- Can show data either daily or hourly.
- Be careful to usually only run this report for one or two meters/assessments at once.
