Forgotten Password

If you select the option “Forgot Password” from the login page, a new page is loaded with a single panel containing fields to confirm the reset process.

Here you are required to enter the email address that is linked to your SAM2 Account and Surname.

There is a cancel button if you wish to go back to the Login page.

Selecting the Reset Password button will validate the form and check that the details you have provided exist in the SAM2 database.

 

 

 

 

If the details are correct, you will receive an email guiding you through the reset password process.

If the details provided in this form are incorrect, you will see a message and you are advised to contact your SAM2 authorised user at 2MT.

 

When correct details are entered, you will see a confirmation of successful reset request.

 

Then receive an email guiding you through the reset password process.

Click on the link within the email (or copy paste into your browser) within the time period stated within the email (the link is valid for a configured number of hours).

 

 

 

 

If you try and use an expired link you will see a message in SAM2 advising you to try again.

 

If the link is valid you are taken to the Reset Password page in SAM2. Here, you are prompted to enter a new password and re-enter the new password.

Hovering your cursor (mouse) over the question mark icon beside a field will show you tool tips or in this case rules for choosing a new password.

Once you have entered a password (twice) which matches the criteria you are presented with a Password Reset Success message.

When you select the Back button on this success message you are taken back to the Login page where you can enter your up to date username (email) and password combination.
