The data used and displayed in the MiWater Aqualus Water application is sourced from:
- Telemetry (AMR) Data data - Raw data received from telemetry provider. This data is imported daily.
- Companion Data data - System tables and lists, providing integration and context to the telemetry data. This information is provided by the utility. When companion data is uploaded into MiWater Aqualus Water it becomes available immediately.
- Reporting Data data - The marriage of telemetry and reporting data, to provide meaning, purpose and value to the user.
The flow of telemetry data
The integration of telemetry data, companion data and reporting data within MiWater
Aqualus Water performs the complex process of mapping telemetry data with companion data and presents this in an easy to use system. Some key points to note are:
- Telemetry data is configured to import automatically into Aqualus Water.
- Companion data is compiled by the water utility. A bulk import of this data is done when Aqualus Water is first set up and then smaller imports (called deltas) are provided by the water utility at regular intervals in order to maintain the accuracy of data within Aqualus Water. Companion data is sourced from corporate rates, ERP, asset management and CRM systems.
- Aqualus Water contains a number of reports that combine telemetry data with companion data to allow staff users to monitor the water network.
- Data from Aqualus Water (the staff portal) feeds across to Aqualus Water Mobile (the field operations app). Changes made in the field such as meter / AMR replacements, meter / AMR installations and manual readings feed back into Aqualus Water when field staff synchronise tablet data at the end of the day.
- Data from Aqualus Water (the staff portal) feeds across to Aqualus Water Customer Portal. Aqualus Water Customer Portal contains a number of reports that give customers insight into their water usage. It also allows users to set up alerts in order to manage their water usage.
- Meter reading data can be exported out of Aqualus Water in a number of formats (Itron readings schema, Fujitsu billing, OOC readings schema, Rates DB readings schema). That data can then be automatically imported into your corporate billing system.
- Meter changes can be exported out of Aqualus Water in report or spreadsheet format. This data can then be entered into your corporate system (manual process).
