This function will allow the user to perform a “move” operation on a specific part or group of parts. A move does not mean that the part is moving to another asset, only that its position against the current asset is changing . An example of this modal is shown here →
Asset & Site Information
The top portion of the panel contains previously defined summaries for the selected asset and site.
Parts to be moved/ repositioned
The parts list section shows the very basic information about the part as well as a number of controls that determined what movement is to occur for those parts. These are defined as follows for each part that is displayed. Note that each column header has an information / help control (you can see the help tool by clicking or hovering over the question mark icons).

New Position | Mandatory – Allows the user to specify the new positionfield which defaults to a pre-defined setting based on the move actions The user is also able to manually change the position by selecting the drop down if the automatic selection is not the desired position. |
Part Move Particulars
This form allows the user to specify the date on which the movement is to be recorded - and is Mandatory.
Default’s to today’s date, but can be changed to a date in the past.

A table of defined auto positions based upon which moves / and type of part are inbuilt to the Move modal.

Note: Once committed (Commit Change-out ) a historic record will be recorded containing a summary description of these changes, including the production value at the time when the change was made.
New functionality was added to SAM2 enabling the moved parts' history to be shown once the change out has been committed. See an example to the right →
When history is and notes are captured for the part, it will be displayed in the History column of the part. This information is also captured in the Inspection Report.
