Delete Asset
When the user triggers the “delete asset” function (available via the Modify Asset screen) , a simple confirmation modal is displayed.
If the asset has active parts against it, the user is alerted to this and asked to confirm, with a suitable message such as, “This site has [number] parts currently configured. Deleting this asset will remove the association of those parts to this asset. Are you sure?”
If confirmed, the parts will be “removed” from the asset as at the current date and time and technically made available for re-use by other assets. The asset itself is also deactivated rather than deleted and would still appear in historic reports.
