Move Asset

The move asset function (also available via Modify Asset) will relocate the selected asset, including its parts to another site.

This will ensure that the asset’s history and production numbers are recorded separately against the new site versus the old site.

The details for this form are as follows:

  • New Site - Mandatory – a list of all sites. The new site cannot be the same as the old site.

  • Move Date - Mandatory. Must be later than any previous date of a move of the asset. If an attached asset is also included, then this move date must also be later than the move date of that attached asset. The date can also be in the future, but no more than 14 days. Defaults to today’s date.

  • Reset Production - Default – unchecked. If checked, then the “Starting Production” field is enabled and the user is able to change the starting production value for this asset that will take effect from the move date.

  • Starting Production - Disabled by default, but enabled if “reset production” is checked. The value shown here should be the current cumulative production number. The unit of measure shown is also added as a label.

  • Retain Parts - Lists options that will determine if the parts fitted to the asset will also be moved with the asset. The following are the options available:

    • YES – Retain ALL Parts Associated with the Asset

    • YES – Retain SOME Parts Associated with the Asset

    • NO – Unfit all Parts and Park these with original Site

In response to the user selecting the option to “retain parts” for only “SOME” parts associated with the asset, a note will be revealed below the checkbox with the following text: “You will be asked to select the parts to be retained after clicking “Next” Also, the footer button icon and text is altered when this is selected.
